Sudden Cardiac Arrest Risks, Signs & Symptoms
-The Dominic Murray Sudden Cardiac Arrest Prevention Act is a new law as of July 1, 2022. This law requires schools, students, and parents/guardians have information on sudden cardiac arrest risks, signs, and symptoms. Please see the letter above for more about this.

Fall 2023 Chemical Health/Meet the Coaches Night
The Maple Hill Athletic Department holds a Chemical Health and Meet the Coaches Night prior to each athletic season. Attendance is required at Meet the Coaches for all student-athletes participating in the Fall 2023 Season.
Chemical Health and Meet the Coaches Night for the Fall 2023 Athletics Season will be held at Maple Hill on Wednesday, August 23 and will start at 6:00 PM.
Parking for Chemical Health/Meet the Coaches Night
The Maple Hill Main Parking Lot will still be under construction and not ready for parking on August 23. There will be a district bus in the parking lot starting at 5:30 PM and it will shuttle attendees over to Maple Hill. The bus will make multiple trips as needed to ensure all attendees arrive at the event on time.

Fall 2023 Athletics Registration

Athletic Placement Process (APP) Testing for Fall 2023 Athletics
7th and 8th-grade students who would like to participate in a sport at the JV or Varsity level must first complete the Athletic Placement Process (APP) to ensure the safety of our student-athletes.
Please review the APP letter here for all requirements. APP testing for Fall 2023 Athletics will take place on Wednesday, August 16, at 9:00 AM in the Maple Hill Gym. The appropriate forms in the packet below must be filled out for students to participate in the APP testing process.
TRANSPORTATION TO/FROM AWAY CONTESTs
All players and team personnel will ride to and from all athletic contests on transportation approved and provided by the school district. It is highly recommended that all student-athletes travel to and from away contests with their team; however, there are certain circumstances where a student-athlete will need to travel with their parent/guardian. The parent/guardian must sign the transportation release provided by the coach before taking their son/daughter from the contest. Permission for a student-athlete to leave with any other individual will not be given.
Student-Athlete Drop-Off & Pick Up
This is a quick reminder that student-athletes should not be dropped off or picked up in the parking area off of South Schodack Road behind the high school. Please drop off/pick up all student-athletes for practices and games/meets at the front of the high school. Also, please remember with the exception of handicapped parking, there is no spectator parking in this same area for softball games, baseball games or track meets.
Traffic in this area behind the school can lead to congestion and also poses a safety issue to our student-athletes walking through it.
Sports Schedule Website
Schodack CSD, along with schools in the Patroon Conference, uses ScheduleGalaxy website/app for sports schedules. The site also offers a subscription option to receive updates about schedule changes. Click here to access the website.
Top Form Tele-Med Services
Top Form Performance Training Clinic offers athletic telemedicine services at no cost to Schodack student-athletes who need them. More information about Top Form Tele-Med is available on the form here.

Student-Athletes and Afterschool Activities
Due to limited supervision for students after 3:00 p.m., Maple Hill Jr./Sr. High School would like to share the following information with parents of student-athletes.
- Student-athletes with a 3:00 p.m. or earlier practice time can stay in the cafeteria with supervision or stay with a teacher from the end of the school day until practice begins.
- If a student-athlete is not staying after school with a teacher, he or she should go home on the regular bus and come back to school for games or practices that begin after 3:00 p.m.
- If a student is staying after school with a teacher, the student should take the late bus and come back to school for games or practices that begin after 3:00 p.m.
- If a student-athlete cannot make it back to school, please notify the coach and Atheltic Director Daniel Bentley (dbentley@schodack.k12.ny.us) so supervision arrangements can be made.
Please Observe “No Parking” Signs for Sporting Events
The district would like to remind our community to please observe “No Parking” signs for sporting events, particularly on South Schodack Road and behind the High School. Please park only in the High School or District Office building parking lots. Due to safety concerns, the district has asked Schodack police to enforce these rules and violators may be ticketed.
