Castleton Elementary School uses the PikMyKid app as a simple method of letting families announce their arrival when picking up students, delegate who can pick up students and make temporary pick-up/transportation changes.

All CES families should be using the PikMyKid app to:

  • Manage Who is Permitted to Pick Up Their Student (referred to as “Delegates” in PikMyKid)
  • Make Temporary Delegate Changes or Transportation Changes: For instance, if a grandparent is picking up a student on a certain day you can delegate the grandparent for that day, or if you plan to pick up your student at dismissal when they normally ride the bus.
  • Announce Their Arrival in Pick-Up Line: You can use the app to “announce” when your car is in the student pick-up line at the end of the school day so the main office knows you have arrived.

All temporary delegate or transportation changes in PikMyKid must be made by 1:00 PM on the day of, so please plan ahead as much as possible if planning to make a change.

Additionally, all families should send a short email to the CES Attendance email (CES-Attendance@schodack.k12.ny.us) confirming any changes to student arrival or dismissal.
