Universal Pre-Kindergarten (UPK) Registration
As of the 2022-2023 School Year, the Schodack Central School District will be operating a New York State grant-funded Universal Pre-Kindergarten (UPK) program that will be facilitated and operated by Story Place Preschool Inc. UPK is open to children residing in Schodack who are 4 years old on or before December 1 of the current school year. UPK registration information is available here.

- Children must be 5 years old on or before Dec. 1 of the year they will start school to be eligible to start kindergarten.
- Parents are encouraged to register incoming kindergartners early to ensure they receive important mailings.
Grade 1-12 Registration
Homeschool Instruction Registration
Schodack Central School District utilizes the Questar III BOCES Home Instruction Service. Families who live in the district and are interested in enrolling their student(s) for homeschool using the Questar III Home Instruction Service can find full information and registration instructions here.
Homeschool Student Participation in Interscholastic Sports and District Activities
Per the New York State Education Department (NYSED) and the New York State Public High School Athletic Association (NYSPHSAA), students enrolled in homeschooling may not participate in interscholastic district sports.
Per Schodack Board of Education policy, students enrolled in homeschool may also not participate in credit-bearing district activities. However, they may participate in district activities for which the student would not receive credit.
