Registered School Nurse (RN)
Schodack Central School District is seeking a Registered Nurse (RN) to join the team at Maple Hill Jr./Sr. High School. This is a full-time position with school breaks, holidays and summers off.
In this role, you will support the health of the Schodack’s grades 7–12 students and collaborate with educators, counselors and administrators who value your expertise. See the general expectation of duties in the Civil Service Job Description here.
- 7.0 hours/day
- $28.58–$35.51/hour (based on experience)
- 10-month school year position (school breaks, holidays and summers off)
- Current New York State Registered Nurse (RN) license required
- Experience working with children/adolescents preferred

School Bus Driver (4.5 Hours Per Day)
Schodack Central School District is seeking a School Bus Driver to work in its Transportation Department for 4.5 hours per day. See the general expectation of duties in the Civil Service Job Description here.
- Start Date: As soon as possible
- 4.5 hours per day (split between morning & afternoon bus runs)
- $27.66 per hour
- Qualifications
- CDL Class B driver’s license;
- Must be at least 21 years of age;
- Ability to safely operate a school bus on an assigned route;
- Ability to maintain orderly conduct of children on the bus;
- Automotive knowledge and related work as required.
Special Note About This Position
The School Bus Driver position can be combined with the Automotive Mechanic position listed below to create one full-time position (8 hours per day). This combined position would be eligible for the following full-time benefits: Health, Dental & Vision Insurance, NYS Retirement, 403b, 457b, paid vacation, sick & personal time and 14 paid holidays.

Automotive Mechanic (4 Hours Per Day)
Schodack Central School District is seeking an Automotive Mechanic to work in its Transportation Department for 4 hours per day. See a full job description and the general expectation of duties in the Civil Service Job Description here.
- Start Date: As soon as possible (8:30 AM–12:30 PM preferred)
- 4 hours per day
- $31.94 per hour
- Minimum Qualifications
- A) Two (2) years of experience as a skilled automotive repairman; or
- B) Any equivalent combination of training and experience
- Additional Qualifications
- Possession of a driver’s license at the time of appointment;
- Eligibility for the appropriate level of New York State driver’s license. See below;
- Class B CDL with School Bus, Passenger & Air Brake Endorsements. However, this is NOT required to apply or start this position. Candidates must be willing and able to obtain the licensing requirements within six months of beginning the position. Training can be provided as needed.
