Eighth grader John Glasheen-Haase won his second straight Maple Hill Jr. High School Spelling Bee on Dec. 20, spelling the final word “garland” correctly.
Victoria Pugliese finished second in the competition, which was held in the school auditorium.
John will represent Schodack CSD at the Capital Region Spelling Bee at Proctors Theatre in February.
