The message below was emailed to all K-12 student families, but all Schodack Central School District community members are welcome to be a part of the Schodack Wildcat Foundation if interested.

Dear Schodack Families,

We are reaching out to see if you or someone you know would be interested to participate in a revitalized version of the Schodack Wildcat Foundation. The foundation is a New York State Not-For-Profit Corporation that was founded by local members of our school community who had a passion for helping the district and its students. This was done in a variety of ways including organizing student programs/activities, holding fundraisers, locating grant opportunities, raising awareness of district matters and more.

Overall its purpose is similar to the Maple Hill Booster Club except instead of directly benefitting the district athletics program, it directly benefits academics and other school-related programs for Schodack students & faculty/staff.

Work by the foundation has been paused these last few years and if it were to resume it would need to have Schodack community volunteers to serve in the following positions:

-Vice President

If the Schodack Wildcat Foundation sounds like something you would be interested in, or you would like to learn more about it, please reach out to Shelli Reickert by email ( or phone (518-732-2297) at your nearest convenience.
