Fall in New York State may be the best time for outdoor field trips! Maple Hill students in Mr. Smith’s AP Biology Class and Mr. Bacon’s AP Environmental Science went to the SUNY Environmental Science and Forestry Newcomb Campus in Newcomb, NY.
The trip was led by Jacob O’Connell from SUNY ESF. As they paddled around Rich Lake, Maple Hill students learned about lake ecology and the environmental issues facing lakes in the Adirondacks. Funding for the trip was provided by the Connect-Kids-to-Parks Field Trip Grant Program.
