PICTURES: Award-Winning Author Kwame Alexander Visits CES!

On October 6, 2022, Castleton Elementary School invited the school community to stop by for cocoa & cookies with Newbery Award-winning author, Kwame Alexander!

Kwame had visited CES in the past and we were so excited to welcome him back for this special visit! Students, families & faculty/staff in attendance enjoyed hearing a reading from Kwame’s latest book The Door of No Return, getting their own books autographed, taking pictures and just getting the opportunity to chat with him.

Thank you so much to Kwame for making time in his very busy schedule to visit CES and thank you to CES Librarian, Stacey Rattner, for arranging it all!
