We would like to clarify the District’s statement regarding postponing the grades 4-6 transition to full in-person learning five days per week. Please know that this decision was made by the District. The Rensselaer County Department of Health advises school districts, but does not make decisions on the reopening, or closing, of schools. This is a local, district decision that is made while taking advice from health and safety agencies. We thank the DOH for their leadership and the outstanding work that they do each and every day.
