Please see the message below about general COVID-19 positive case notifications after January 3, 2022, and a summary of COVID-19 cases reported to the district over the Holiday Recess through today.

All 2021-2022 school COVID-19 updates can be found on the district’s 2021-2022 Reopening & COVID-19 Updates page here.

COVID Case Notifications After January 3, 2022

After January 3, 2022, all positive COVID-19 cases reported to the Schodack Central School District will be posted on the dashboard page of the district website here for the remainder of the 2021-22 school year. Since students returned for in-person instruction in September 2020 the district has directly notified all families via text alert of each new case but it will now discontinue this practice. The notification below of cases reported over the Holiday Recess through today is the final direct general notification to all families.

The district will continue to communicate directly with any family affected by a confirmed COVID-19 case in the schools for contact tracing purposes.

Please note that privacy laws restrict us from disclosing or confirming any personally identifiable information. This positive case dashboard page will only give the date of the reported case and the SCSD location of the case (ex. Castleton ES). If you have questions or need to report a COVID-19 related health issue, please contact your student’s school.

COVID-19 Cases Between December 24, 2021 – January 3, 2022

Over the Holiday Recess and through today (December 24-January 3) the district was notified that 17 individuals had tested positive for COVID-19: 6 at Castleton Elementary, 9 at Maple Hill and 2 in the District Office/Transportation/Facilities buildings.

We have been working with the Rensselaer County Department of Health to conduct our school-based contact tracing. At this time all individuals who were possibly exposed and told they must quarantine have been contacted. If you were not contacted directly over the break or today, then no further action is needed on your part.
