The final week of the school year is here! Please see a few quick reminders about this week’s schedule.
Half-Days
Thursday, June 22 and Friday, June 23 are both half-days at CES. Students will be dismissed at 11:15 AM.
Picking Up Unused Medications
Please pick up any unused medications your student still has in the nurse’s office at CES. They can be picked up any day this week during school hours. If you have questions, please reach out to CES Nurse Heather Brewer (HBrewer@schodack.k12.ny.us).
6th Grade Moving Up Ceremony
The 6th Grade Moving Up Ceremony will take place on Thursday, June 22. It starts at 8:30 AM in the CES Large Gym. 6th-grade family members are welcome to attend the ceremony.
Final Monthly Assembly of 2022-23
The final CES Monthly Assembly of the year will take place on Friday, June 23. There is only one assembly for all K-6 students and it will take place in the large gym at 8:30 AM. School families are welcome to attend the final assembly of the year.
Children with Hair Loss Annual Hair-Cutting Drive
The monthly assembly on Friday, June 23 will also include Castleton Elementary’s annual Children with Hair Loss Annual Hair Cutting Drive.
This end-of-year hair-cutting drive benefits Children With Hair Loss, a not-for-profit organization that provides free wigs and maintenance for children up to age 21 who suffer from hair loss. Everybody (students and community members) may participate as long as they have a minimum of 8” of hair to donate.
If you or your student are interested in participating, return the permission form here and the registration form here to CES this week (forms may be returned the morning of).
