Dear 6th Grade Students and Parents,
We are pleased to welcome you and your child to Maple Hill Jr./Sr. High School! We are looking forward to meeting you and introducing you to our school and program. The Jr. High School experience will provide many opportunities for academic and social growth. We are glad to have you join us!
On Wednesday, March 31, all 6th grade students will participate in an orientation program. Students in each homeroom will receive an introduction to what to expect in 7th grade, including how the daily schedule works, what classes they will take, and extracurricular opportunities. Our 6th graders will already know a lot about our building in September, so as the year progresses we can practice lockers and schedule reading!
On the evening of March 31, we will have a virtual parent orientation from 6:30-7:30 p.m. We will present to parents about the schedule, our guidance counselor will introduce class selections, and we will answer any questions that may come up about your child’s transition to the Jr. High School. The link to the orientation will be posted online and sent by text through our school messenger program as we get closer to the date.
