In September 2023, the Governor of New York State passed new regulations about workplace safety, particularly emphasizing the need for schools to comply with the directives set forth by the New York State Department of Labor regarding the Workforce Violence Prevention Program.

Schodack Central School District has taken measures to comply with these directives by establishing a comprehensive Workplace Violence Prevention Program. Since the information within Schodack’s Workplace Violence Prevention Program is sensitive in nature, it will remain confidential and not be posted publicly. However, district employees wishing to review the plan may schedule an appointment with their supervisor to discuss it in detail.

Reporting a Workplace Violence Incident

Employee cooperation in reporting violent incidents is vital to helping the district address and mitigate future potential risks. If you are a district employee who believes they have experienced or witnessed violence in the workplace, please complete the Workplace Violence Incident Report here and return it to your supervisor.
