The annual Castleton Elementary PTO Fishing Derby returns this weekend on Sunday, October 15, 2023, from 12:00 PM-2:00 PM!
All students need to do is find a fishing spot in the local area, catch what fish they can and bring them back to Castleton Elementary School during the time slot above for weigh-in/measurement. The biggest fish in each category will win a prize! Forms for student names, their grade and their fish caught will be available at CES on October 15. If you don’t catch any fish, you can still come to CES and see what your friends caught.

- Sunfish
- Trout
- Perch
- Bullhead/Catfish
- Bass
- Crappie
CES PTO FISHING DERBY RULES
- Fish must be alive at the time they are measured by the judges
- Only 2 fish per child may be accepted for judging
- Derby is open to CES students only
- Fish will be measured from the mouth to the tip of the tail (except bass)]
- Bass will be measured by weight
- Prizes are awarded for the biggest fish in each category
- No eels permitted!
