Earlier this month Castleton Elementary had a visit from NYS Department of Agriculture & Markets Commissioner Richard Ball, Deputy Commissioner Jennifer Trodden and Nate Chittenden from Dutch Hollow Farm in Schodck Landing for the kick-off of Dairy Month (June). Mr. Chittenden brought along a very cute calf with him, fittingly named Cutie! This event was part of the Department of Agriculture and Markets’ Dairy Education Days series across the state which teaches students more about the state’s dairy community. Thank you to Commissioner Ball, Deputy Commissioner Trodden, Mr. Chittenden and Cutie for visiting CES!
