Maple Hill Grade 11-12 Families,
In recent weeks, many 11th-grade and 12th-grade students who drive themselves to school are coming to the main office with permission from home to leave during lunch. Regardless of whether they have been given permission from home, this is not something we allow our student drivers to do and they are expected to remain at school for the entire day.
The only student drivers permitted to leave during the school day are those attending afternoon Career & Technical Education (CTE) programs at off-campus Questar III buildings. However, CTE student drivers are not permitted to leave school during lunch either. Those student drivers should not be leaving school any earlier than 11:30 AM, which is when our buses leave to take students to afternoon CTE.
