Congratulations to long-time Maple Hill Boys Soccer Coach Dan Gillespie on his recent induction into the New York State Public High School Athletic Association (NYSPHSAA) Hall of Fame! Coach Gillespie and his fellow inductees were celebrated in an awards ceremony in Buffalo, NY on July 29, 2026!
Coach Gillespie is the all-time winningest high school boys soccer coach in New York State history, with a 773-203-45 career record, all earned while coaching at Maple Hill High School from 1974–2025. Coach Gillespie was also inducted into the New York State Soccer Hall of Fame in 2009 and is a two-time United Soccer New York State Coach of the Year.
Over his career, Coach Gillespie has led Maple Hill to:
- 3 NYSPHSAA State Championships
- 24 Section Championships
- 27 League Championships
Throughout his 52 seasons at Maple Hill, he’s consistently emphasized the importance of character, hard work, and teamwork, helping shape generations of Maple Hill student-athletes. Plus, he’s not done yet; next week, Coach Gillespie will start his 53rd season coaching Maple Hill Boys Soccer!
