Schodack CSD Community,

I am excited to share two new leadership updates with you after last night’s Board of Education meeting. Alyssa Stolarcyk was appointed as the next Assistant Principal of Castleton Elementary School, and Dave Austin was appointed as the Director of Physical Education, Health, Wellness & Athletics. Both Ms. Stolarcyk and Mr. Austin will officially start over the summer.

Castleton Elementary Assistant Principal

Ms. Stolarcyk will take over the CES Assistant Principal position from Megan Sullivan, who is transitioning into her new position as CES Principal at the end of the school year.

She comes to Schodack from the Binghamton City School District, where she has been working as an elementary school administrator for the past year. Before that, she worked as a school psychologist, supporting students and their families. After a thorough interview process with a number of qualified candidates, we selected Ms. Stolarcyk due to her wide range of experience, her school leadership background and her clear student-centered outlook.

She and her family are relocating from the Binghamton area, so please join me in welcoming them to our Wildcat community!

Director of Physical Education, Health, Wellness & Athletics

Dave Austin will join us as our Director of Physical Education, Health, Wellness & Athletics. You may be familiar with Mr. Austin, since he is a Maple Hill graduate and a former Schodack employee, once serving here as a half-time Physical Education teacher and half-time Athletic Director. Since his previous employment in Schodack, he has worked as the Director of Physical Education, Health & Athletics in both Mohonasen Central School District and Guilderland Central School District.

With his demonstrated commitment to students, multiple areas of expertise, knowledge of our community and experience in school districts of varying sizes, we are happy to welcome Mr. Austin back to Schodack.

Sincerely,

Jason M. Chevrier
Superintendent of Schools
Schodack Central School District
