The final Castleton Elementary Monthly Assembly of the year will be on Friday, June 26, 2026. It will begin with the 22nd Annual Children With Hair Loss Hair Cutting Drive in the Castleton Elementary Large Gym. This end-of-year event benefits Children With Hair Loss, a not-for-profit organization that provides free wigs and hair maintenance for children experiencing hair loss.
How to Participate/Donate
Anyone may participate/donate hair as long as they meet the following requirements:
- Length: A minimum of 8 inches of hair to donate
- Register: Fill out the registration form (found here)
- Permission for Students: A signed permission form (found here) is required for all student participants
Any Schodack student, faculty/staff, parent or community member can donate. On the day of, combed hair will be measured, pony-tailed and cut by Castleton Elementary parent Mrs. Kirsch from James Allison Salon.
All forms must be returned by Tuesday, June 23, 2026, to Castleton Elementary School’s Speech-Language Pathologist, Stacy Herron. Forms can be returned in person or sent to her email address below.
