10th Grade: Samantha Auger

Samantha is one of the most positive, engaged, and consistently prepared students I have encountered. She approaches each day with focus and enthusiasm, arriving on time, ready to contribute, and maintaining a strong work ethic. She is also thoughtful and reflective during our biweekly character training discussions.

As her varsity softball coach, I have had the privilege of watching her growth beyond the classroom. From a seventh grader new to the sport, she has developed into a varsity contributor who demonstrates humility, coachability, and a commitment to improvement.

Samantha takes full advantage of all that Maple Hill has to offer, is a true role model for her peers, and is highly deserving of this recognition.

Emma, a midyear sophomore transfer, immediately embraced the Schodack experience. She quickly built positive relationships with peers and faculty while demonstrating strong effort and enthusiasm in AP World History. She also sought out opportunities in athletics and extracurricular activities, making an immediate impact on our school community.

Emma showed courage and initiative by founding a Debate and Civil Discourse Club, helping create a space for respectful dialogue and student engagement.

She is also a strong leader on the varsity softball team, serving as a dependable captain, supportive teammate, and positive role model. Balancing rigorous coursework, extracurricular commitments, and family responsibilities, Emma exemplifies resilience, character, and leadership.
