Every year, we factor in a certain number of emergency closing days in case we need to close on short notice, usually due to winter weather. Since we did not need to use all our emergency closing days this year, please note the following school calendar changes.*
All district buildings and offices will be closed for Memorial Day on Monday, May 25.
Friday, May 22
Maple Hill High School and Castleton Elementary School will not be in session on Friday, May 22. Main offices will be open, but students and teachers will not report to school.
Tuesday, May 26
- Castleton Elementary School: Castleton Elementary will be in session on Tuesday, May 26. Students and teachers should plan on reporting to school. Castleton Elementary used an extra emergency closing day this year due to a water main break in February. Because of this, the school must be in session on May 26 to meet New York State’s annual 180-day school attendance requirement.
- Maple Hill High School: Maple Hill will not be in session on Tuesday, May 26. Main offices will be open, but students and teachers will not report to school.
