A record $5,672.83 was raised at this year’s Hoops Against Hunger! On March 13, 2026, the Schodack community set the latest Hoops Against Hunger record, breaking the one set last year ($5,527.23). All proceeds from this event benefit The Anchor Food Pantry in Schodack.

This annual charity basketball game is one of the district’s most popular events and sees two teams (Red and Blue) of Schodack faculty and staff face off. This year, the Blue Team took the win.

There are too many to thank by name,* but the district is very grateful to everyone who donated to, played in and helped organize this year’s Hoops Against Hunger!

*However, special thanks must go to Maple Hill Teacher Patrick Austin, the primary coordinator of Hoops Against Hunger year after year!
