Congratulations to the Maple Hill students selected as the Students of the Quarter for the 2nd Quarter of the 2025–26 school year! Students are listed/pictured below, along with a short write-up by the Maple Hill faculty member(s) who nominated them. Each quarter, one student in each Maple Hill grade level (7–12) is selected for this award by a faculty committee after a review of all the submitted nominations.
7th Grade: Addy Feldman
Addy exemplifies many of the characteristics we look for in a Maple Hill student. She comes to class prepared, is well organized, and consistently demonstrates a growth mindset focused on improving her skills. She is also a strong team player who supports her classmates with kindness and respect. Throughout my interactions with her, she has served as a positive role model for her peers.
-Mr. Marvinney
8th Grade: Zaydyn Jones
Zaydyn is a hard-working Band student who does not shy away from a challenge. He attends lessons regularly and consistently demonstrates a strong work ethic. Despite a difficult start to the year due to a leg injury, he has remained positive and resilient throughout. Zaydyn is always a helpful and kind presence in class, and he has been conscientious about completing work he has missed due to doctor’s appointments.
-Mr. Herrling & Mrs. Gieser
9th Grade: Aleyna Seney
Aleyna has shown dramatic improvement this quarter and is regularly one of the most active participants in Earth Science. She is always on time, prepared, and takes on a leadership role in class when her classmates are hesitant.
-Ms. Hay
10th Grade: Andrew Palmer
Andrew has shown significant improvement in Band over a short period of time. He has worked diligently on his music, asking for help when needed and practicing whenever time allows, in addition to his regularly scheduled lessons.
-Mr. Herrling
11th Grade: Samuel Houndonougbo
Sam is one of my top students in a challenging course, while also navigating the added challenge of immersing himself in a new culture and a new language.
-Mrs. McGann
12th Grade: Allan Hoyt
Allan is mature and bright, both interested and interesting, and consistently thoughtful in his work. He is reflective and insightful, processes information well, presents his ideas clearly, and demonstrates strong analytical thinking.
-Mr. Frese
