Ryan Palmer Joins District as Assistant Superintendent of Business & Support Services

Please join us in welcoming Ryan Palmer as our district’s new Assistant Superintendent of Business & Support Services. Mr. Palmer’s first full day with us will be next Monday, August 11. Mr. Palmer is succeeding Brian Carey, who left the district last month to pursue a new professional opportunity in the North Colonie Central School District. We thank Mr. Carey for his years of service to Schodack CSD and we wish him the very best going forward.

Mr. Palmer is a Schodack CSD resident and before joining our district’s administrative team, he was the Administrator of Business & Finance for the Coxsackie-Athens Central School District since 2021. In that role, he maintained oversight of all the district’s fiscal responsibilities, including overseeing the annual development of the school budget. Additionally, he also oversaw multiple district departments, including athletics, transportation and facilities & maintenance.

Mr. Palmer also has years of experience as an educator and athletics coach. He is a certified grades 7-12 mathematics teacher, has been the Varsity Wrestling Coach at Coxsackie-Athens CSD since 2017 and he is the State Coordinator of the New York State Public High School Athletic Association’s Girls Wrestling Committee.
