Castleton Elementary School’s Flag Day Ceremony, K-3rd Grade Field Day and Grades 4-6 Field Day are coming up! See schedules and information about them below.
Preparing for Field Days
For both Field Days, please have your students dress accordingly for extended outdoor activities. This includes bringing hats, sneakers, water bottles and applying sunscreen before school. Some activities involve water, so send a labeled change of clothes if you feel your students will need them. Additionally, students are encouraged to wear their grade-level colored assembly shirts.
Flag Day Ceremony (Friday, June 13)
The annual Castleton Elementary School K-6 Flag Day Ceremony is scheduled for Friday, June 13, 2025. All K-6 families are invited to join students and staff at the CES Flag Pole for the ceremony, which will start at 8:20 AM.
Kindergarten-3rd Grade Field Day (Friday, June 13)
Kindergarten-3rd Grade Field Day is also scheduled for Friday, June 13, 2025. Events will take place at the Castleton Elementary School Field. Families are invited to attend and can go directly to the CES Field.
- 9:45 AM – 11:15 AM: Field Day Events
- 11:15 AM – 11:45 AM: Handwashing & Bathroom Break
- 11:45 AM – 12:30 PM: Picnic Style Lunch Outside
- Family members may stay for lunch, but should bring their own meals since they will not be provided. Students may bring their own lunch or eat a school-provided lunch.
Grades 4-6 Field Day (Wednesday, June 18)
Grades 4-6 Field Day is scheduled for Wednesday, June 18, 2025. Events will take place at the Maple Hill Jr./Sr. High School Track & Field (1216 Maple Hill Rd). Families are invited to attend and can go directly to the MH Track & Field. If attending, please do not park behind Maple Hill; please park out front in the main parking lot.
- 8:30 AM – 11:30 AM: Field Day Events
- 11:30 AM – 12:15 PM: Picnic Style Lunch Outside
- Family members may stay for lunch, but should bring their own meals since they will not be provided. Students may bring their own lunch or eat a school-provided lunch.
