Schodack Grades 3-8 Families,
This is a reminder that the New York State Education Department’s Grades 3-8 Assessments will begin after the upcoming spring recess. The schedule and reminders are below.
2025 State Assessments Schedule
- Grades 5 and 8 Science: Wednesday, April 23
- Grades 3-8 ELA: Tuesday, April 29 and Wednesday, April 30
- Grades 3-8 Mathematics: Tuesday, May 6 and Wednesday, May 7
Important Reminders
- All assessments are computer-based and will be taken on student Chromebooks.
- CES: Students will leave their Chromebooks at school on the Monday before each assessment to ensure they are fully charged.
- Maple Hill: Students are expected to bring in their fully charged Chromebooks from home on the date of their assessments.
- Students should bring a book to read in case they finish early.
- Students may not use personal electronics (phones, etc) if they finish early. Other than Chromebooks all devices will be collected before testing begins and returned once it has ended. Devices will be labeled with student names and supervised by an adult during testing.
