Castleton Elementary Families,
With winter just about here, please review the following reminders about the season and a reminder about student dismissal changes.
- Send students with clothing for cold weather/snow (winter coats, gloves, winter hats, snow pants, boots). When temperatures permit, we still take students outside for recess in the winter.
- Send an extra pair of clothes. Even if they wear winter clothes, students’ outfits often get damp from playing in the snow, keeping a change of clothes in their backpack means they can change after recess if needed.
- Illness spreads easier this time of year. If your student is sick, keep them home until they are symptom-free for 24 hours.
- Tell the Main Office about any dismissal changes (ex. being picked up instead of taking the bus or leaving school early). Send a message to the CES Attendance Email (CES-Attendance@schodack.k12.ny.us) or send students in with a Dismissal Note (located on the Parent Fliers page on the district website).
