On December 8, 2024, Castleton Elementary School 5th grade student musicians (and CES Music Teacher Mr. Streeter) participated in the annual New York State Tree Lighting and Tuba Christmas performance at Empire State Plaza!
Congratulations to students Emma Neumann (baritone), Ashlyn Richards (tuba) and Lucca Hughes (tuba) for being the youngest performers this year – quite an accomplishment! Our students performed with a group of about 40 baritone, euphonium, tuba and sousaphone players.
Ashlyn even made it into the Times Union article about the event!
