Dear Sixth-Grade Parents,
Today, Ms. Sullivan and I addressed the sixth-grade homerooms regarding a rumor that had been circulating among students. The rumor suggested that a sixth-grade student was planning to bring a weapon to school. Please know that this claim was taken very seriously and was thoroughly investigated in collaboration with our School Resource Officer (SRO). After completing our investigation, we determined that the rumor was entirely false and unsubstantiated.
As part of our process, we contacted the families of all students who were questioned during the investigation to ensure they were informed. We want to emphasize that at no time was there any credible threat or concern, and the safety of our students, faculty, staff, and community remains our highest priority.
