Schodack CSD Community,
Thank you to everyone who participated in the recent survey as part of the district’s independent, voluntary audit of its communications practices. The district is currently working with Capital Region BOCES to review its communications and current engagement. Part of this process is seeking school community input on the strength of current practices and for future engagement.
In addition to the online survey, the district invites you to participate in focus groups to share your thoughts on its communications practices. Two focus groups are planned for both school families and other interested community members. Please RSVP by Friday, November 8 if interested in attending one or both.
In-Person Communications Focus Group
The first focus group will be in person on Tuesday, November 12 at 7:00 PM in the Maple Hill Jr./Sr. High School Auditorium. If interested in attending, RSVP below.
Virtual Communications Focus Group
The second focus group will be online via Zoom on Wednesday, November 13 at 7:00 PM. If interested, RSVP below. A Zoom link will be emailed to those who RSVP on the morning of the meeting.
During each focus group, Capital Region BOCES facilitators will guide discussions on communications preferences, what is working, and ways the school district can keep the community informed and engaged.
The Schodack Central School District independent communications audit will be completed this winter with a formal presentation to the Board of Education in January.
