Maple Hill Jr./Sr. High School is hosting a “Stuff the Bus” Food Drive benefitting Anchor Food Pantry on Saturday, October 12, 2024! Please consider stopping by and helping out! Suggested donation items are listed below.
This event is sponsored by Schodack Central School District, the Castleton Village Fire Dept. and Rensselaer County District Attorney Mary Pat Donnelly.
Where?
A Schodack CSD bus will be in the Maple Hill Jr./Sr. High School Parking Lot (1216 Maple Hill Road) from 9:00 AM – 1:00 PM. The goal is to stuff the bus with donations to bring to the Anchor Food Pantry afterward! We will have volunteers on-site to assist with sorting and to help you carry donations.
Suggested Donation Items
- Hearty Soups: Such as Progresso or Campbell’s Chunky Soups
- Cold or Hot Cereal: Cheerios, oatmeal packets, etc.
- Condiments: mustard, ketchup, salad dressings, BBQ sauce, mayo
- Toiletries: deodorants, bar soap, shampoo, conditioner, toothpaste, toothbrushes
- Canned Meats: tuna, chicken, beef stew
- Pasta: macaroni, spaghetti, pasta sauce, lasagna, ziti, boxed mac & cheese
- Snacks for Lunches: granola bars, peanut butter crackers, fruit cups, cookies
- Canned Fruit: fruit cocktail, peaches, pears, applesauce, pineapple
- Peanut Butter & Jelly
