Castleton Elementary School’s final Monthly Assembly of 2023-2024 was a great way to end the school year at CES, though it was also bittersweet as we bid fond farewells to some members of the CES community. The K-6 Assembly on June 25, 2024, had a jam-packed agenda that included:
- Special area awards
- Farewell tributes and thanks to:
- Departing Assistant Principal Kara Likar, who was honored by the students for being a Kindness Hero
- Retiring CES Teacher Sharon Bourdeau
- Schodack CSD volunteer Craig Wilkinson (aka Mr. Schodack). Mr. Wilkinson will still be helping out the district from time to time but is taking a step back from volunteering as frequently.
- Dedication of the Castleton Elementary 100 Years painting made by the 6th Grade Art Club
- Plus the annual end-of-year hair-cutting drive benefitting Children With Hair Loss, a not-for-profit organization that provides free wigs for children suffering from hair loss. Thank you to all who donated to Children With Hair Loss this year!
