Maple Hill Jr./Sr. High School students Kate Ackerman and Grace Martino were recently honored with the NYS Capital District Society of Women Engineers’ Certificate of Merit at the organization’s annual awards dinner in Albany. This award is for juniors who have been selected by their teachers based on their academic achievements, character and desire to pursue a career in engineering, math, technology and science. Kate and Grace were 2 of only 33 young women selected from 20 Capital District high schools to receive this honor. Congratulations to both Kate and Grace!
