How to Submit a 2023 Senior Spotlight
2023 Maple Hill Seniors and families have been emailed the Senior Spotlight Submission Google Form. If you did not receive it or would like for it to be resent, email us at communications@schodack.k12.ny.us and we will send it over.
Seniors may have parents/guardians submit their forms on their behalf if they wish. Please use full sentences when possible and include at least 1 good-quality image of yourself/your senior.

Mr. Murray was a resourceful and passionate teacher, he made learning fun. Mrs. Cavagnaro and Mrs. Weidman were always looking out for the kids and were easy to go to for help. Zac Frese is a great teacher who could relate to us.

My fondest memory is playing soccer. Going to the States was amazing. Mr. Gillespie and Mr. Wetherby are amazing coaches.

Despite having no ties to the city of Minneapolis and the state of Minnesota I’m a huge Timberwolves fan. I also enjoy watching esports, but only the European leagues.

Seeing Mr. Frese dance to NSYNC in APush, cooking and eating meals with “The Spanish 4,” and going on the eighth grade Philadelphia trip.

I plan on studying Political Science at the College of the Holy Cross in Worcester, Massachusetts.

I enjoy hiking, coffee, kayaking, traveling and cooking. I enjoy spending time with my family and walking my dog, Ollie. Summer is my favorite time of the year when I like to say “I am living my best retired life!”

During my time at Maple Hill, I’ve always had amazing teachers and I thank every single one. I would like to give a personal shout out to: Mrs. Mahota and Mrs. Delaney for their constant work as our class advisors; our administration and guidance counselors for their encouragement for our future; Mrs. Seymour for her constant support in NHS; Mr. Flach for his support during every single sports season and in the classroom. Lastly, I would like to mention Perry for his kindness to all and the smiles he puts on everyone’s faces.

My fondest memories at Maple Hill are winning sectional championships for soccer, basketball, and tennis. I also enjoyed my time volunteering with Key Club and the National Honor Society. I’ve also enjoyed working with all of my teachers.

I will be attending Syracuse University and majoring in Secondary Education and Public Policy.
Ethan Maier
Fun Fact(s) About You
Ethan recently achieved the highest Boy Scout rank of Eagle. He has been involved in Key Club, Drama Club, National Honor Society and Maple Hill Wrestling. Outside of school, he enjoys riding dirt bikes, snowmobiles and hanging with his friends. Ethan can be found volunteering at most Kiwanis events.

Fondest Memory of Maple Hill High School
My fondest memory of Maple Hill has been being a member of the softball team. I have loved playing for Coach Austin and being part of such a positive, fun, and engaging team. I have also loved being in charge of the team speaker in our dugout and to and from games.

I will be attending SUNY Adirondack where I plan to study Physical Education. I have also committed to continuing my volleyball career there in the fall.
