Wellness Day also featured a presentation/training on Rachel’s Challenge which inspires individuals to replace acts of violence, bullying, and negativity with acts of respect, kindness, and compassion. Rachel’s Challenge is based on the life and writings of Rachel Joy Scott who was the first victim of the Columbine school shootings in 1999. Rachel’s Challenge includes establishing Friends of Rachel clubs in schools, following the initial presentation, to sustain the campaign’s goals on a long-term basis.

Thank you to all the volunteers who ran an activity session or training, the Wellness Committee for helping plan the day and a special shout out to Ms. Delany & Mr. Hunter for spearheading it all!
