Dear Schodack CSD Community,
As we head into Thanksgiving Recess, we wanted to share an update about an upcoming administrative change in our district.
Castleton Elementary School’s Assistant Principal, Nicole Martin, has accepted a new position with Catskill Central School District as their Coordinator of Special Education. She was officially appointed at Catskill’s Board of Education Meeting on Wednesday, November 16.
Ms. Martin has been co-leading CES alongside Principal James Derby since Summer 2021. During that time, she has been an invaluable part of making CES a vibrant, fun and safe place to learn and work. She will be missed by both her colleagues and the students. Catskill has made an excellent choice in selecting Ms. Martin and the entire district wishes her continued success there.
Ms. Martin will remain as Assistant Principal of CES up until the Holiday Recess with her last day in the district set for Friday, December 23. If you have had the pleasure to know Ms. Martin during her time in Schodack, we encourage you to reach out to congratulate and wish her well before she begins her new role in Catskill.
