The message below was emailed to all K-12 student families, but all Schodack Central School District community members are welcome to be a part of the Schodack Wildcat Foundation if interested.

Dear Schodack Families,

We are reaching out to see if any of you are interested in being part of restarting the Schodack Wildcat Foundation, a New York State Not-For-Profit Corporation founded by local members of our school community who have a passion for helping our district and our students. This was done by organizing student programs/activities, holding fundraisers, helping locate grant opportunities and more.

The Wildcat Foundation has been on pause and if it were to resume it would need to have Schodack community members volunteer to serve as President, Vice President, Treasurer and Secretary.

Overall, the Schodack Wildcat Foundation functions similarly to the Maple Hill Booster Club except instead of benefitting our district’s athletics program, it benefits student academics and other school-related programs. All Schodack CSD community members are welcome to be a part of the Wildcat Foundation if interested, so please share with others who may be a good fit even if they do not currently have students enrolled in the district.

If the Schodack Wildcat Foundation sounds like something you would like to be a part of, or you would like to learn more about it, please reach out to Shelli Reickert by email (MReickert@schodack.k12.ny.us) or phone (518-732-2297) no later than this Friday, October 14.
