Maple Hill Junior High School’s Grade 7-8 Welcome Back Ice Cream Social is scheduled for Tuesday, August 29, 2023! All incoming 7th and 8th graders are strongly encouraged to attend the Ice Cream Social so they can:
- Attend their grade level orientation
- Receive their 2023-2024 Class Schedules
- Set up their lockers
- Meet their new teachers and new Maple Hill Principal Robert Santarcangelo
- Plus, enjoy free ice cream!
Ice Cream Social Schedule
The Ice Cream Social takes place at Maple Hill and each grade level will have its own time slot at the event. Please see the schedule below:
- 7th Grade: 5:00 PM – 6:00 PM
- While 7th graders and parents can drop in at any time during the hour, they are encouraged to be at Maple Hill for the 5:00 PM start time since Principal Santarcangelo will be giving opening remarks to welcome new Maple Hill students.
- 8th Grade: 6:00 PM – 7:00 PM
- 8th graders (and parents if they wish) may drop in at any time during their time slot. There will be no formal remarks from the principal during this hour.
Parking for the Ice Cream Social
For the Grade 7-8 Ice Cream Social event, you may use the main lot and the student lot at Maple Hill for parking. Construction work on the main lot is not fully complete but it will be available to park in on August 29 between 4:30 PM – 7:00 PM only.
There will be no lines painted for parking spots yet in the main lot on August 29, so please drive/park your car carefully and considerately if using it. Please do not arrive before 4:30 PM. After the Grade 7-8 Ice Cream Social, the main parking lot will be closed off again so construction crews can resume their work on it the next morning.
