After two years, it was the perfect sunny morning to welcome back the Castleton Elementary Flag Day Ceremony! All of CES and many Schodack families came out to watch our local veterans raise the American Flag and honor its adoption by the United States on June 14, 1777. The 4th graders led a large part of the ceremony, singing “You’re a Grand Old Flag” and leading the audience in a line-by-line explanation of The Pledge of Allegiance. Additionally, the 6th Grade Band did a wonderful job playing The National Anthem alongside CES Assistant Principal Martin on vocals (who also did wonderfully!). Thank you to all the CES students and staff who made the return of the Flag Day Ceremony possible!

Enjoy a selection of the pictures from it and a video of the 4th graders performing below.
