- “How Much Financial Aid Will I Really Get?” April 28, 6pm – 7pm. Learn about the types and sources of college financial aid and understand what kind and how much you may qualify for.

College Decision Day: A Tool for Your Students to Compare Financial Aid Award Letters
- HESC’s Financial Aid Award Package Comparison Tool helps students understand their award letters and determine the financial bottom line by highlighting:
- Which school is offering the most grants and scholarship and how much is comprised of student loans
- What aid is recurring and the requirements that must be met to retain that aid
- How much they will still need to pay after their aid is awarded.
- Encourage your students to use HESC’s Financial Aid Award Package Comparison Tool so that they can make a more informed college choice.
Now Accepting…STEM Incentive Program Applications
- The NYS STEM Program provides tuition awards to students who are New York residents attending a public college or university located in New York State.
- Recipients must be in the top 10 percent of their high school graduating class, pursue an approved, two or four-year STEM degree program and agree to live in NYS and work in a STEM field in NYS for five years after graduation.
- For students attending private college, the maximum award for the 2021-2022 academic year is equal to the SUNY tuition rate which is $7,070 per year.
- Students can complete and submit the NYS Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics (STEM) Incentive Program Application.
- STEM applications are available now through August 15, 2022.
