See the message from Maple Hill Counselor, Teresa Hebert, about the free Summer 2022 College In the High School courses being offered at Hudson Vallery Community College this summer.

Sophomores, Juniors and Parents,

Hudson Valley Community College is offering full-tuition scholarships and free required textbooks for students to take up to 8 credits of coursework this summer.  Current sophomores and juniors are eligible for this opportunity through the College in the High School program.  It is a wonderful opportunity to earn college credits while still in high school.  Earned credit can be used toward a degree at HVCC or transferred to SUNY colleges and many private colleges. There are many courses being offered on the HVCC campus, HVCC’s remote Troy Middle School site, as well as online.  Please see the attached flyer as well as the links below for more details.

Registration for classes is currently open.  While the registration deadline is not until early June for the majority of the classes, courses do fill and close out, so if you are considering this opportunity, you will want to register as soon as possible.  Attached are the registration form and required Certificate of Residence form.  These forms will only be accepted via email if sent from the school counselor’s email or from a student HVCC email account (if the student had previously taken a course through HVCC.) Forms will also be accepted in person from the student only with a picture ID.  Therefore, it will be easiest if students bring forms to their counselor to submit. Please be aware that once you submit the registration form and certificate of residence, you will be considered registered.  If you then decide not to participate, you MUST withdraw from the class to avoid receiving a failing or non-completion grade.

Please don’t hesitate to reach out with any questions.
