The week of Veterans Day (Nov. 11) 7th graders met with VFW Post 7337 Commander Rik Cosgrave & past Commander Fred Schultz for their America unit. During their visit, students Nadine King, Wyatt Brixius, Mason Haber & Olivia Pellitier were recognized for their “How Can I Be a Good American?” Patriot’s Pen essays. Cdr. Cosgrave & Cdr. Schultz also gave the students “Buddy Poppies,” and offered them stars from out-of-service American flags to pass along to veterans or 1st responders they know.
