Ms. Fowler’s 7th grade English students created “Five Star Book Reviews” based on their recent independent reading. The goal was that other readers could decide if a book was a good choice for them after seeing a Five Star Book Review. Ms. Fowler’s students made the reviews to be read (or presented) in 2-3 minutes with a brief summary/analysis of their particular book.

The finished projects were presented at a Book Expo set up in the  Maple Hill Library. Each student had their own display with their book and their final reviews. Visitors to the Expo included Maple Hill students in the upper grades and various Maple Hill staff/faculty who conversed with the individual students about their books.
