Please see the message below from Schodack Athletic Director, Mike Silver, about the spectator guidelines in place for the 2021-22 Winter Sports Season.

To the Greater Schodack Community,

As we approach the start of the winter sports season, I wanted to inform all of you of the Patroon Conference Protocols for spectators for the upcoming season.  We are excited that winter sports are up and running and that our student-athletes will be competing with full schedules and the opportunity to play for sectional and statewide championships.

We will be welcoming spectators in a limited capacity to our indoor winter sports contests for wrestling, basketball and bowling.  To keep our athletes and school community safe, all of the schools that we compete against will be requiring face coverings during all athletic contests.  This will be strictly enforced here at Maple Hill as we are asking that all spectators wear their face coverings properly.  If this becomes an issue during our contests, we will be asking spectators who do not comply to leave the contest.

Maple Hill along with most of the schools around the league will be allowing four (4) spectators per athlete at contests played at Maple Hill Jr/Sr High School as well as at East Greenbush Lanes for our bowling matches.  We are asking that you kindly follow this protocol not only at Maple Hill but at schools that we travel to as well.  Some schools will be more restrictive and we will communicate those restrictions before each game.

We will also be allowing the student body in grades 7-12 to attend the basketball games and wrestling matches only, allowing the gym to be at 50% capacity.  We recognize that it is important to our school community and athletes to have some of their friends at the contests as this provides an atmosphere for our student-athletes to have support from their classmates and peers.  Students must have their Maple Hill Student ID to show when coming to watch the games at Maple Hill.  Our student body will not be able to travel to away games.

Unfortunately, this also means that we will not be able to allow the general public members to come and watch the games as this would be difficult for us to monitor gym capacity.  We will be live streaming the games this season so if you are unable to attend, you can watch on our live streaming platform here.

Additionally, here you can find all of the spectator protocols and live streaming information for Patroon Conference school districts.

Finally, during the Indoor Track Season, the host facility (Hudson Valley Community College) is not allowing spectators to come and watch the meets at this time. We will pass on more information as it becomes available. Please reach out to me or Coach Andy Basile with any questions.

Thank you for your cooperation and understanding as we navigate through these difficult times.  If you have any questions or concerns please feel free to reach out to me.

We are looking forward to a great winter season!
