Today (Thursday, March 11) the District was notified that a student at Castleton Elementary School has tested positive for the COVID-19 virus. We have been in contact with the Rensselaer County Department of Health and have conducted thorough contact tracing. Individuals who need to quarantine have been notified.
While we understand that you might like additional details, due to privacy laws we cannot release any identifiable information about the individuals or affected students.
Please remember that if anyone in your household has been tested for the virus and is awaiting results, you should not come to school. As always, the health and safety of students and staff is the District’s top priority and we appreciate your cooperation and diligence during this time.
