Today (Saturday Dec. 19) the District was notified that a staff member at Castleton Elementary School has tested positive for the COVID-19 virus. This is in addition to the case we communicated earlier today.
The District is working closely with the Rensselaer County Department of Health to conduct thorough contact tracing. If you are not contacted by a representative of the District, there is no further action needed on your part.
While we understand that you might like additional details, due to privacy laws we cannot release any identifiable information about the individuals or affected students.
