Castleton Elementary School students were screaming and jumping with delight for math on Feb. 12 as the school held its Math Mania Day. Thanks to funding from the PTO, math expert Gregory Tang brought his program to the school to engage students, faculty and staff in math.
In the small gym, students in all grades took part in fast-paced math games, cheering each other on in large group activities and competing in smaller group games led by assistant Jared Saavedra. Meanwhile, Mr. Tang spent the day with faculty and staff providing professional development in engaging math concepts.
