April Jacobs Wins Spelling Bee

Congratulations to 8th grader April Jacobs who won the Maple Hill Middle School Spelling Bee on Dec. 21 after a lengthy and exciting spell-off with runner-up 6th grader Zackary Civerolo. April will represent Schodack CSD at the Capital Region Spelling Bee at Proctors Theatre in February.

Students and Teacher Join Tuba Christmas

MHMS students Joshua Donnelly and Garret Jensen joined Teacher Adam Streeter at the 44th Anniversary Tuba Christmas Concert on Dec. 3. The concert was part of the annual tree lighting celebration held at the Empire State Plaza in Albany.

Students Sing in All County Music Festival

To help keep students healthy, our school nurses would like to remind parents about how they can help prevent the spread of the flu this winter. Please remind children to cover their coughs and sneezes and wash their hands often. If your child gets the flu, please have them stay home for at least 24 hours after their fever is gone.
