NutrisliceApp Allows Parents to View Breakfast and Lunch Menus

Did you know there is a free app to check school breakfast and lunch menus? Download the "School Lunch by Nutrislice" app for Apple or Android devices in your app store. The app also provides food descriptions and nutritional information.

MySchoolBucks.com Online Payment System for Cafeteria Plans

MySchoolBucks.com allows parents to put money in their student's cafeteria accounts online. If you need help setting up an account, please use this reference guide. You will need your child's student ID number to create an account, which is available on the Parent Portal. If you do not have access to the Parent Portal, please call your student's school main office.

Please note, there is a $1.95 transaction fee for each payment (paid to MySchoolBucks.com to cover banking fees). To help offset the fee, one free meal is given for every $50 placed in a CES account and/or one free meal for every $52 placed in a MS or HS account. Parents who prefer to pay by check can do so, avoiding the transaction fee.

Free and Reduced Price Lunches Available

Schodack CSD encourages parents who may be eligible for free or reduced price school meals for their children inquire about the federal Free and Reduced Price School Meals/Milk Program. This is a completely confidential program. An application form is available here.

Reminder About Keeping a Positive Cafeteria Account Balance

If a student’s cafeteria account balance falls below $5.00, a reminder will be sent to the parent or guardian. If a parent or guardian owes more than $5.00 on the cafeteria account, those charges must be paid before the student can receive a full lunch. No student will be denied a lunch but an alternate lunch of a cheese or peanut butter and jelly sandwich, vegetable, fruit and milk will be offered until a positive account balance is restored. We apologize for any inconvenience this may cause but it is necessary to keep the Food Service program a self-funded program.

Computerized Payment System

Schodack CSD utilizes a computerized system for food purchases. Parents are encouraged to take advantage of the system, although cash is also accepted at all cafeterias.

All students enter their 4 digit PIN at the cash register to make food purchases. This number will stay the same for this school year. Your child will draw from one account; breakfast, lunch, milk and snack bar are all connected to this one account. If you don't want your child to use this account for the snack bar or if you want to limit the amount your child can spend at the snack bar, please call Dining Services Director Tom McNay at 732-4269 and he will adjust the account accordingly. You may prepay any amount with cash or check made out to "SCSD", with the student's PIN on the check.
