Schodack CSD will hold the 11th Annual Hoops Against Hunger charity basketball event on Friday, Mar. 8 at 7:00 p.m. in the High School gymnasium.
Admission is $3 or $2 and a canned or non-perishable food item. The Anchor is in particular need of boxed pasta, cereal, graham crackers and saltine/Ritz crackers.
This annual event features faculty and staff playing in a fun basketball game with proceeds and food donations going to The Anchor food pantry.
Since it began, the charity game has raised more than $23,000 and 3,000 donated food items for The Anchor.
“Come on out and watch your favorite out of shape and past their prime teachers compete against each other in a fun event for a good cause. We hope to see you there!” said event organizer Patrick Austin.
